My name is Lara. I was born in Spain but have lived most of my adult life in England. After graduating as a physiotherapist in Spain, I moved to Cornwall to improve my English and ended up falling in love with the place. After spending a few years figuring out life, I registered as a physiotherapist in the UK (with the Health & Care Professions Council) and began my career in Cornwall.
I have worked for the NHS since 2015, undertaking various rotations while continually seeking experience in paediatrics and respiratory care. In 2019, I moved to Manchester, where I worked at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. There, I developed my skills in chest clearance for children with various conditions.
In 2022, my little family and I decided to return to Cornwall. Although I knew I would miss working at RMCH, the beach and the Cornish life were worthwhile trade-offs. Since 2022, I have been working as a community respiratory physiotherapist with adults for the NHS, and I am now starting KerAir with the aim of providing quality services for those who cannot find what they need in Cornwall.
Apart from doing "chest physio" (you may also know it as physiotherapy for breathing), I am also a nature and world enthusiast. I am a wife, mum of 2 and forever learner of something and everything: surfing, dancing, volleyball, writing, ice-cream taster...
I have family in many countries and I grew up living in different places, this has translated into a love for travel and meeting new people.
Me and my friends are always on the look out for good Sunday roast recommendations, so I am all ears if you have got one.
Nice to meet you.
